Full job description

Are you a people person? Do you like to be on the move when working rather than being behind a desk? We invite you to apply for the role of heart and chest department porter.

As a Porter, your role will be to provide an efficient high quality portering service to the busy department covering Cardiology, Respiratory and Diagnostic services.

This role includes the transportation of patients, specimens, goods, blood products, medical gases, and equipment around the site.

No VISA sponsorship available for this role

Please be aware that we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a suitable number of applications.

Undertake all urgent adhoc and scheduled tasks using the correct equipment within the required response times and in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

To undertake all portering tasks, as requested by the supervisors, and managers.

To ensure the transportation equipment is kept clean and in working order, and to report any defects to the Supervisor / Manager to be rectified as quickly as possible.

Transport patients as per Departmental and Trust procedures, with due regard to their dignity and respect.

Undertake duties in a courteous, sympathetic manner with due regard to privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
