About us

Mrs Strauss Tutoring is a growing, family-run tutoring agency serving Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding Essex area. We take pride in delivering high-quality, personalised home tuition that makes a genuine difference to students' educational journeys. Our team of dedicated local tutors supports learners of all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, improve attainment, and achieve their goals. We are passionate about creating positive learning experiences and are looking for tutors who share our commitment to excellence, professionalism, and student success.

This job is for a home tutor to deliver tuition in and around the area of Southend-on-sea - this is NOT an online teaching position.

```Duties:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students for GCSE and A Level Sciences
- Develop personalised lesson plans based on individual student needs
- Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
- Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to enhance learning
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly in a tutoring or educational setting
- Knowledge of special education techniques and strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field of Science (preferred)
- Teaching certification or credentials (preferred)```

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
