Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Operator & Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine to produce precision components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and proactive approach will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, contribute to innovative projects, and grow your expertise in manufacturing technology.

Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machine for milling / routering MDF components.
Program CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as Vcarve pro and other CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) tools to develop efficient machining routines.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure parts are manufactured accurately according to design requirements.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for part finishing, assembly, or adjustments as needed.
Apply basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations essential for machining operations.
Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and verify that finished products meet specifications.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
Maintain detailed documentation of machine settings, production logs, and inspection reports.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC milling machines or grinders in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as Vcarve pro or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machine calibration.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic math for precise measurements.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
