Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance ( https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels) . An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

This job role is based near Reading. Hybrid (4 days a week client site based & 1 day remote) Mon-Fri 37.5. DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Cyber Security Monitoring and Response team you will respond to immediate complex security threats.
Responsible for working in a Security Operation Centre (SOC) environment
Procedure creation and continuous improvement
Responsible for initial triage on alerts and incidents.

Threat Hunting
Customer Relationship Management
Cyber Threat Intelligence
Incident Response
Decision Making

Desirable Skills/Experience

Experience working in a fast-paced operational security environment
Knowledge of Security management, network and information security, people security and running of one or more services within a Security Operations Centre.
1 years’ experience working within an IT/IP network-based environment
CompTIA Network+, Security+, CSA+ and/or CEH or equivalent
Experience working in a customer facing environment
Experience in one of the following toolsets:
- Elastic/Kibana
- Darktrace
- Microsoft Sentinel/Defender
