A. B. Walker - a long-established family owned and run funeral directors - has a vacancy for a Memorial Administrator based at our Reading office.

We are looking for a confident and organised person to work within our team to assist with the day-to-day operations of our Memorials Department.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

Liaising with churchyards and cemeteries regarding regulations / to obtain memorial permits.
Providing quotations to new and existing clients and following up on all memorial enquiries.
Processing and monitoring all memorial orders with our stone masons.
Assisting with day-to-day enquiries that occur within the Memorials Department, responding to and resolving client queries.
Receiving and actioning instructions from our funeral administrators regarding the removal of memorials for burials.

The above represents the core of your responsibilities which may expand as the role progresses.

We are looking for someone with:

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
The ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Has a high level of attention to detail.
Can work effectively within a small team.
Experience of working within a sales environment (beneficial but not essential).· A full, clean UK driving license (required).· Is experienced in standard office procedures and the use of computers.A.B. Walker operate on Microsoft Windows along with funeral specific software. Training on in-house computer programmes will be provided.

Salary and benefits:

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

Salary – £26,500 per annum
