Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students, particularly those with special educational needs, to foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their educational journey. The position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their skills within a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities, ensuring all students are engaged and supported.
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students requiring additional help, including those with disabilities or autism.
Support students with special educational needs by implementing tailored strategies and interventions.
Foster a positive learning environment through mentoring and encouragement, promoting confidence and independence among pupils.
Assist in the organisation of classroom materials and resources, ensuring a tidy and stimulating space.
Support creative writing activities and other specialised programmes designed to enhance student development.
Monitor student behaviour, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, parents, and external specialists to support individualised education plans.

Skills

Experience or interest in special education and working with individuals with disabilities or autism.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, colleagues, and parents.
Proven ability to tutor or mentor students, fostering their academic growth and personal development.
GCSE Grade 9-4 (A*-C) including English and Maths
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs in an inclusive setting.
Organised, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children’s educational journeys.
Enthusiasm for working with children of different ages and backgrounds, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of young learners through supportive teaching practices.

Pay: £16,622.00-£16,885.00 per year
