Are you passionate about data analysis and information management? Do you want to contribute to the improvement of public services through insightful analysis and reporting? West Berkshire Council is seeking an Information Analyst to join our Customer Engagement & Transformation Service, reporting to the Principal Performance, Research and Information Officer.

The Role

As an Information Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and support decision-making within the organisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

Extracting and manipulating data from various sources to produce accurate and meaningful reports.
Conducting analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their information requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
Ensuring data integrity and accuracy through regular validation and cleansing processes.
Contributing to the development and implementation of information management processes and best practices.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Strong experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to work with large datasets.
Proficient in using tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualisation software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
