HGV Class 2 Driver (Waste & Recycling)

Location: Uxbridge

Pay: £16.50 per hour + overtime opportunities

Full-Time | Permanent

About FJL Waste Services

FJL Waste Services is a growing waste and recycling specialist operating a modern fleet of dustcarts, skip vehicles, and Roll-On Roll-Off (RoRo) vehicles across London and the South East.

Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Uxbridge.

This is a single-manned role, ideal for drivers who enjoy working independently, taking responsibility for their route, and delivering excellent service to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and professionally.
Completing scheduled waste and recycling collections.
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
Using onboard technology to manage routes and job completion.
Maintaining accurate records and complying with all transport legislation.
Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.
Working safely in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
Digital Tachograph Card.
Good communication skills and fluent spoken English.
Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR or IN10 endorsements).
Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

Waste management, recycling, skip, RoRo, or commercial collections experience.
Experience using onboard vehicle technology.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday.
Start times between 04:00 and 06:00.
50-hour working week.
Overtime opportunities available, including alternate Saturdays.
