Full job description

At UPP, we understand just how important this is and that’s why at each of the universities we partner with we have a dedicated onsite team offering a range of facilities management services designed to support the safety of the building and ensure students enjoy a high quality of life throughout their stay.

Here at UPP we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Home at Halls Representative to join our Reading team.

Candidates must be current University students who are living or have previously lived in the University Halls of Residence. You must also be available to attend a compulsory training session (date to be confirmed).

Role responsibilities include:

Attending and participating in training, staff meetings and other meetings relevant to the role
Assisting with administration associated with the events including inputting attendance data, responding to student queries and other associated event administration.
Contributing to the social media marketing of events and activities.
Contributing events ideas during planning and assisting with organisation.
Leading a minimum of one event per week. This will involve setting up the event, registering event attendance, leading the activity and responding to queries that may arise.
Ensuring the event is conducted safely in accordance with health and safety policies.
Actively promoting upcoming events to event attendees
Gathering feedback and assessing during events from attendees
Attending relevant training provided by UPP and its partners
Be a trusted part of the halls community by being a point of contact for students, answering questions and informing staff on issues within the halls of residence

We are looking for you to have great communication and organisation skills, along with experience of running or working at events and the passion to work as a team to do an excellent job.

You will also be flexible to work (with notice) additional hours when the need arises, including evening and some weekend working.
