We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project / Contracts Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.
Role Overview
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of mechanical installation projects from planning through to handover. You will lead and coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical projects including HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and pipework installations
- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Conduct regular site visits, risk assessments, progress monitoring, and client reporting
- Drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions across projects
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Site Manager within the mechanical contracting industry
- Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, or MEP installations in commercial, industrial, or public sector environments
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
- Solid commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and controlling costs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- Experience of working on high-value or technically complex projects
- Relevant CSCS card and SMSTS certification
