Fix Auto Basingstoke currently has a vacancy for a VDA / Estimator. - we are expanding!
Salary: £45k
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, plus two working Saturday's per year

We are looking to recruit an experienced VDA / Estimator to join our growing business. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and hold a valid ATA VDA qualification.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a good understanding of modern repair techniques across a range of vehicle makes and models
- Be capable of inspecting and accurately assessing damaged vehicles
- Prepare accurate estimates and safe repair methods using computerised estimating systems such as Audatex and Thatcham Escribe data
- Be conversant with bodyshop management systems
- Negotiate with customers and engineers to agree repair costings and any required supplementary work
- Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
- Produce workshop job schedules while liaising regularly with workshop staff to monitor repair progress
- Liaise with parts suppliers to ensure correct parts are ordered and delivered
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, as the majority of authorisations are negotiated remotely
- Maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity
