Job Purpose:
The role holder will have expertise in Technical Project Management and Business Analysis to lead and deliver complex projects and initiatives across the Institute, ranging from redesigning our Membership provision, expanding our International delivery, and various Tech projects across MS Dynamics 365, CRM, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). This hybrid role combines project management, stakeholder engagement, technical business analysis, and process re-design to ensure successful cultural, operational, and digital transformation across the Institute.
The roll holder will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, providing both strategic insight and hands-on management to drive operational efficiency and enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Delivery Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of operational and digital projects

Ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery across programmes

Apply Agile, DSDM, and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate
-
Use Azure DevOps to manage planning, backlog, sprints, and releases
-
Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors for seamless execution
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather and analyse business and technical requirements through workshops, interviews, and user research

Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories

Collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment

Facilitate clear communication and manage expectations across all levels
System Implementation & Integration
- Oversee implementation and optimisation of our systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, and LMS platforms.

Ensure integration across systems to support membership, records management, and learning delivery

Lead efforts in data migration, system upgrades, and API configurations

Ensure robust testing and quality assurance prior to go-live
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and address inefficiencies in business processes and workflows

Drive initiatives to optimise performance, user experience, and operational resilience

Promote an organisational culture of learning, innovation, and iteration

Review and refine technical and functional processes post-implementation
Reporting & Metrics
- Define and track KPIs for platform performance, user engagement, and delivery health

Produce dashboards and reports using Power BI, SQL, and related tools

Provide insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making

Maintain transparent communication with leadership on project status and value realisation
Target Operating Model (TOM) Design (Nice to have)
- Support the development and refinement of the future-state operating model

Assess current capabilities and identify gaps in people, process, data, and technology

Design scalable, efficient solutions aligned to strategic objectives

Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth adoption of the new model
Key Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and business analysis within the education, professional membership, or training sectors

Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, including CRM and Business Central modules, as well as experience with leading LMS platforms such as Moodle, Canvas, or Brightspace

Demonstrated success in designing and improving business processes, integrating complex systems, and managing data migration and transformation

Hands-on experience with DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method) and Azure DevOps is essential, particularly for backlog management, sprint planning, and release coordination

In-depth knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, with proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and similar platforms

Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a problem-solving orientation

Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools, including Power BI and SQL, is a plus
Desirable Qualifications
- Certifications in Project Management (Agile PM, PRINCE2, PMP) and/or Business Analysis (CBAP, IIBA)

Microsoft Certifications for Dynamics 365 or Business Central

Experience with education technology ecosystems, student lifecycle management, and professional development platforms
- Familiarity with APIs, system architecture, and data transformation tools
