Our order book has increased dramatically over the last few months, and we need to employ more experienced upholsterers to service these orders. This role is available immediately. The role is permanent and can either be full or part time.
WE need candidates who have a wide range of and at least 5 years experience in upholstery including the upholstery of banquette seating. The role is physical and requires a good level of fitness. It involves working on your feet all day and lifting loads.
Must be capable of creating patterns for furniture and banquette seating, foaming up frames and upholstering all types of furniture and seating
Capable of creating detailing such as chesterfield pleating, ribbing, sprung and webbed seating
Machining skills would be very useful but are not essential
Must have good experience of upholstering banquette seating and working with both fabrics and leather
Must be capable of reading and understanding architectural drawings
Must have high attention to detail and be able to Quality control each project throughout the manufacturing process.
Must be hardworking and prepared to work long hours
Must be prepared to learn other skills within the factory
Must be capable of working in a team as well as working without supervision to a high standard
Being able to understand Polish would be helpful but is not essential
