Title: Security Officer

Shift: 56 hours a week
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Look Out Security Officer, who will work at our client’s prestigious premises.
This role is pivotal to the success of the building operation as this person will act as the front of house for the management team.
The successful applicant will have experience of working a Concierge environment and be well practiced in dealing with clients.
We require officers to be SIA licenced – Security Guarding/Door Supervision
Duties of a Look Out Security Officer
- Meet and greet all visitors promptly, using the correct protocols to ensure that each visitor feels valued and cared for.
- Ensure that an exceptional level of service is always maintained in reception areas and meeting suites, including contacting meeting hosts as required.
- Build and maintain a current working knowledge of all policies, procedures, systems, and developments, as well as general information, to provide staff and visitors with accurate information when needed.
- Maintain close working relationships with the relevant Building Management team and coordinate efforts effectively.
- Handle incidents swiftly and appropriately, adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure safety and security.
- Be aware of hostile reconnaissance techniques and remain vigilant, identifying and reporting any suspicious behaviour to maintain a secure environment.
- Manage protests or demonstrations in a calm and composed manner, ensuring the safety of all individuals while maintaining order and following protocols to minimise disruption.
- Adapt to changes in procedures, policies, or the working environment, ensuring smooth operations through effective change management and assisting others in adapting where necessary.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in operating X-Ray machines and scanners to ensure a secure and efficient screening process.
- Confiscate and securely store weapons, adhering strictly to current legislation and regulatory standards.
- Maintain effective communication with the City of London Police for reporting individuals found with weapons and coordinating the collection of seized items.
- Wear and operate a body camera at all times, ensuring all interactions are recorded in line with security and privacy guideline
Job Role Requirements of a Concierge Security Officer
- Do you a have a valid Frontline SIA licence?
- Do you a have aFirst Aid certificate?
- Do you a have previous experience in a similar role?
- Do you a have excellent customer service skills with a warm, welcoming, and approachable demeanour?
- Do you a have knowledge of Assignment Instructions (AI’s)?
- Do you a have strong written and verbal communication skills?
- Do you a have the ability to remain customer/client-focused, providing clear and accurate information to all parties?
- Do you a have proficiency in conflict management, maintaining composure and professionalism when handling difficult situations, including protests or public demonstrations?
- Are you capable of standing for long periods, demonstrating physical stamina and alertness?
- Do you a have basic computer literacy required?
- Do you a have ability to work under pressure and effectively manage a range of situations with calm and professionalism?
- Do you a haveexperience in change management, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to support the organisation and colleagues during transitions or adjustments in the work environment?
