Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise in a professional environment, working with modern equipment and tools. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about automotive repair and customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and cosmetic modifications
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify faults accurately
Carry out assembly tasks following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Execute equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
Weld components as required for structural repairs or modifications
Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely to move or position vehicle parts or equipment
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Experience

Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role within the automotive industry
Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and repair guides
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Experience with vehicle diagnostics software is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
Prior experience in equipment repair and maintenance is desirable
