About the Role
We are a growing independent mortgage brokerage based in Falmouth, looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Coordinator to support our local presence across Cornwall. This role also extends to our parent company, Orton Financial, which operates across the UK and internationally — giving the right candidate exposure to a broader, global audience alongside the community-focused work closer to home. Full training will be provided on our systems and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media activity — planning, scheduling, and posting across our channels
- Create content using tools such as Canva, including captions, graphics, and basic visuals
- Assist with copy updates across our company websites, keeping pages accurate, on-brand, and engaging
- Support local marketing initiatives including community events, sponsorship opportunities, and business partnerships
- Liaise with external partners such as SEO, PR, and radio contacts
- Help plan and coordinate campaigns across multiple channels
- Monitor activity and provide straightforward performance updates
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints
What We're Looking For
- Some experience in a marketing, communications, or content role
- Strong written communication skills and an eye for detail
- Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple priorities
- Confident using social media platforms and tools like Canva
- Based in or around Falmouth or wider Cornwall
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the Cornwall business community
- Experience with events, partnerships, or local sponsorship
- Any exposure to SEO, PR, or paid media
- Experience editing website content (training provided if not)
