We work alongside communities and in partnership with other organisations to make systems fairer, tackle inequality, and support people in achieving lasting change.
We are now looking for a passionate and adaptable Teacher to join our team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week), term-time only contract supporting young people aged 12–24 to build skills, confidence, and independence through education. This role is based in Redruth, with home tutoring across Cornwall being a big part of the role. Working hours are Mondays to Fridays, 9 AM to 5 PM, including half a day of PPA per week.

The Role
As a Teacher, you will deliver engaging, inclusive and trauma-informed sessions to learners on our TOAST programme. You’ll be teaching accredited courses in Employability, Personal Development and Independent Living, as well as Functional Skills English and Maths from across different levels. You’ll receive half a day a week for planning and preparation.
You’ll attend weekly team meetings, contribute to the development of the programme, and support learners to progress both academically and personally.
About You
To be successful, you will need:
· A recognised teaching qualification suitable for delivering up to Level 2
· Experience teaching a wide range of levels
· The ability to create an inclusive, learner-led classroom environment
· Experience or understanding of the needs of learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
· Excellent administrative skills and digital literacy
· Confidence in using databases or CRM systems for learner records
· A strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches
· A minimum of Level 2 English and Maths qualifications
· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, if required for events and parents' evenings
· The ability to travel to different locations at short notice
Desirable:
· Two years’ experience in a similar role
· A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
· Experience delivering virtual learning
This is a fixed-term role, starting 24th August 2026 and ending 23rd July 2026, with continuation subject to funding, working across term time plus 2 additional weeks for pre-year training.
Placement in this role will be subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
