The National Centre for AI in Policing is one of the most high-profile and ambitious technology programmes in UK policing today. Job description

We are looking for highly organised and proactive Business Coordinators. These are pivotal roles at the heart of a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, where you will coordinate and support a wide range of business activities. Working closely with senior leaders and their teams, you will help ensure Police AI operates efficiently, effectively, and in line with strategic priorities

In this role, you will:

Coordinate core business activities including administration, governance, and planning
Coordinate financial administration activity, including purchase orders, tracking spend, supporting compliance processes and resolving routine finance queries in liaison with managers and the Finance Business Partner.
Support and track recruitment activity across the Centre, working closely with Department managers and the HR Business Partner to ensure smooth and compliant processes
Act as a central point of coordination for business support needs, including procurement and commissioning activity, liaison with corporate functions and external providers, and tracking actions through to resolution.
Coordinate meetings, events and awaydays, supporting logistics, documentation and follow‑up, and assisting with the organisation of external events on and off College sites as required.

Person specification

We are looking for someone with:

Strong experience in business coordination, administration or operational support
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Ability to analyse data and produce clear, accurate reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can influence and challenge constructively
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Provide an example of when you have been required to produce and analyse statistical and/or management information. Explain your approach.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles , and will assess your Technical skills.

This role is available for 24 months as a fixed term appointment or as a secondment opportunity.

Whilst this fixed term contract is offered on the understanding that it will only last as long as the stated contract length, there could be a possibility that it could be extended or made permanent should circumstances allow.

An initial sift based on the lead technical skill may be held if a large number of applications are received. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift or progressed straight to assessment/interview.
