Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or providing home care services. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Supporting individuals with their personal care plans to ensure they receive appropriate and respectful care
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Assisting with medication management as per care plans (training provided if necessary)
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation standards
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Supporting clients with light household tasks or errands as required in home care settings
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when necessary (valid driving licence preferred)
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of clients
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions
