Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a talented Freelance Wix Website Designer to join our team on a remote, project-based basis. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with diverse clients, delivering innovative and user-friendly websites. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in digital design, front-end development, and user experience optimisation, with experience in managing content management systems and responsive web design. This position is perfect for creative professionals looking to work independently while contributing to engaging digital projects.

Responsibilities

Design and develop visually appealing, responsive websites using Wix platform tailored to client specifications
Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and user flows
Implement interaction design principles to enhance user engagement and usability
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design improvements
optimise websites for search engines (SEO) and ensure compatibility across various devices and browsers
Maintain and update existing websites, ensuring ongoing functionality and aesthetic consistency
Integrate third-party tools such as Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and other marketing or analytics platforms

Requirements

Proven experience in digital design, UI/UX, front-end development, and website maintenance
Proficiency with website builders such as Wix.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Adobe XD/Dreamweaver/Acrobat; familiarity with Figma or Balsamiq is desirable
Knowledge of content management systems including Drupal or SharePoint; experience with Google Analytics and email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or Telerik is advantageous
Ability to perform user research, data analysis skills for usability testing and information architecture optimisation
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently within deadlines
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with their manager.

we are also open to a simple pay per site completed plan, this role is not challenging to those familiar with wix. we will ask for previous work you have completed to make sure you are competent and at the level we desire.
