Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Joiner to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and finishing high-quality wooden components and furniture. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise specialised carpentry skills within a dynamic construction environment, contributing to bespoke projects that require precision and craftsmanship.

Duties

Fabricate wooden components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications
Assemble joinery products, including doors, windows, and bespoke furniture pieces
Operate hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices with accuracy
Use power tools including drills, sanders, and saws to shape and finish timber surfaces
Perform carpentry tasks involving cutting, fitting, and fixing timber elements on-site or in the workshop
Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting as required for integrated project completion
Conduct heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate assembly and installation processes
Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and joinery techniques
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry and woodworking
Strong understanding of joinery principles and construction practices
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Experience with roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
Physical fitness for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Organised approach to tasks with good time management skills
