Full job description

Location: Braehead Medical Practice
Position: Receptionist
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (rotational shifts)
Shifts: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Hourly Rate: Starting from £12.77 per hour, based on experience

Are you an enthusiastic and reliable individual with a passion for helping others? Braehead Medical Practice is looking for a new Receptionist to join our friendly and welcoming team. As a receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of our practice.

About Us:

We are an urban practice serving over 9,000 patients in the Renfrew community.
Our team includes 4* GP partners, 2 salaried GP, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), and 1 Practice Nurse*, supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
We are an Vision and Docman practice, ensuring efficient electronic management of patient records.
We are a training practice with a commitment to medical education, hosting trainees throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

Provide a warm, professional welcome to all patients, visitors, and callers.
Efficiently manage appointment bookings, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks.
Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Collaborate with the practice team to deliver a high standard of patient care.

What we’re looking for:

Prior experience in a medical or reception role is preferred but not essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Strong IT skills, with experience in Vision and Docman systems highly advantageous.
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, team-oriented individual who values patient-centred care.
