Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our exciting culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional and family feel environment. The position is fully paid and suitable for those with relevant experience or a keen interest in advancing their culinary career.

Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals according to recipes and menu specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
Assist in planning new menus and developing new dishes to enhance the dining experience
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing equipment and ingredients
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Serve food to customers when required, providing excellent customer service
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a restaurant or catering setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
Flexibility to adapt to different cuisines and menu requirements
Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
