This is a new role in the CTM Clinical Learning Academy. Open to applications from registered health care professionals, the postholder will be a key member of a senior management team, able to ensure robust education systems and processes through planning, design, implementation and continuous monitoring and management of the Education Quality Systems and Governance for the CTM Clinical Learning Academy, ensuring clinical educational activity across CTMUHB meets the appropriate requirements including those set out by Health Care Professional regulatory bodies, Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), Higher Education Institutes (HEIs)and Welsh Government and embedding the Duty of Quality Health and Care Quality Standards (2023).
This will include educational governance and safety, educational audit, education quality and effectiveness and continuous quality improvement to ensure that CTMCLA educational services are designed to provide maximum value and impact to improve the health of the population of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.
The post holder will provide strategic and operational registered health care professional specialist knowledge to the CTM Clinical Learning Academy, with responsibility for assuring that the learning and development of the health care professional workforce aligns to current and future workforce needs. It will influence the development of innovative educational and learning practice resulting service improvement.
The overarching requirement of this post is to ensure that all aspects of quality relevant to the education and development of clinical healthcare professionals are maintained and enhanced, embedding continuous improvement whilst ensuring the effective and efficient management of human, financial and physical resources.
The post holder will have the skills and ability to promote quality within education and development using modern methods of quality management and ensure quality and process control are central to effective services.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and ensuring quality management systems for the following areas:
Compliance with legislation and regulation
Clinical Governance implications for education
Clear and measurable quality objectives aligned with the CTMCLA purpose.
Identification of trends and sharing learning from student, learner and educator experience.
Tracking and monitoring performance and identifying actions for improvement.
Ensuring actions for improvement are completed, including delivery of actions within action plans following service inspections.
Ensuring impact upon quality is captured in relation to education planning and organisational change.
Management of health and safety issues impacting upon CTMCLA.Capture of effectiveness, value and impact of CTMCLA service.
