Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Light Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating recovery vehicles, including flatbeds and light recovery trucks, assisting with the safe and efficient recovery and transportation of vehicles.
This role requires good communication skills, a professional attitude, and experience in driving or roadside recovery operations. The position offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting customers during breakdown and recovery situations.
Hours: 3 on / 3 off shift pattern
Duties
- Operate light recovery vehicles and flatbeds safely and efficiently
- Recover and transport broken-down, damaged, or immobilised vehicles
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment safety checks
- Load, secure, and unload vehicles using correct recovery procedures
- Provide excellent customer service during roadside assistance and recovery operations
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and control staff
- Complete recovery paperwork and job records accurately
- Follow all company safety procedures and road transport regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in vehicle recovery or commercial driving preferred
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- CPC qualification required
- Valid Digital Tacho Card required
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexible, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
- Able to work weekdays and weekends on a rota basis
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good attention to detail when loading and securing vehicles
