Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Senior Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry, particularly in guest services and front desk management. The successful applicant will be organised, courteous, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Greet visitors and guests warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to proper phone etiquette
Handle guest enquiries, providing information about services and facilities
Maintain the reception area in a tidy and welcoming condition
Assist with booking reservations and managing appointment schedules
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence
Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met promptly
Utilise multilingual or bilingual skills to assist diverse guests effectively (if applicable)
Ensure security protocols are followed when handling visitor access

Qualifications

Proven experience in a reception or guest services role, ideally within the hospitality sector
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist international guests
Previous hotel experience and Opera Cloud System knowledge
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Friendly demeanour with a professional appearance and attitude
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office or hotel management software is preferred
