Meat London have 2 butcher's shops in North London. It's from our pretty garden in Meat N16, Stoke Newington, where we host the majority of our events.
9 years ago we partnered with Weber Stephens, the world renowned BBQ brand, and teach classes weekly, and are now their flagship Grill Academy for the UK. We also conduct private events both at the shop, and on the road, taking events to other locations.
As we continue to grow our popular events program, we now seek a talented individual that can run and deliver the BBQ courses and coordinate the Events program. Having an interest in grilling/barbecuing would be highly beneficial, but a love of food is far more important. Full training will be given for this role so experience with BBQs is not essential.
Duties:
- Assist in planning and executing events, including BBQ courses, corporate teams and other special occasions
- Set up event space, including arranging tables, chairs, crockery and glasses
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the event
- Ensure food and beverages are served in a professional manner
- Monitor event activities to ensure everything runs smoothly and address any issues or concerns that may arise
- Maintain the cleanliness of the event space during the event, and assist in the clear up after the event
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work weekends, and as required by event schedules
- Experience with catering or BBQ grilling is not essential but will be a distinct advantage
- Having a UK driving license, and being able to drive a Ford Custom (small) Transit van, would be advantageous as events could be at customers house
When courses and events are not being conducted, there will be plenty to do. From working in the shop on the deli department, to making sausage rolls. There's always something to keep you busy.
