Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team approx. 30 hours per week. This hybrid role offers flexibility while providing responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and the timely production of monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Management Accounts

Prepare all accounting transactions required for the production of accurate monthly management accounts.
Complete all necessary reconciliations and financial checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounts.
Process supplier invoices onto Sage Line 50
Complete regular bank reconciliations, and produce weekly sales and debtor reports.
Prepare annual budgets and revised forecasts.
Post year-end journals and assist with year-end accounting processes.

Audit & Compliance

Liaise with external auditors and provide information during the annual audit.
Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, ensuring reconciliation to the trial balance.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 (Sage 50 Accounts).
Good understanding of VAT, HMRC reporting requirements and financial reconciliations.
Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and part of a team, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
AAT qualified, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA), or qualified by experience will all be considered.

Working Hours & Location

Part-time – 30 hours per week. A combination of office-based and remote working a possibility.
Flexible working pattern, to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
