ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Development Manager role is a pivotal role in our Business Development team to enable our business to achieve our annual growth targets. You will be on the front-line speaking to prospective customers across all mediums, finding out how our services can meet their needs. We aim to both educate them about their VAT obligations, and to boast about our world-class services.

What You’ll Do

Target Driven: Be part of the team responsible for growing the client base, and meeting set monthly targets and KPIs
Customer Centric: Provide support, problem solve and give excellent customer service to every person interacting with the business
Confident: Speak about technical subjects in a simple way to make VAT more accessible to everyone!
Proactive: Able to find and create your own opportunities and turn them into leads and customers
Educate: Communicate with prospective clients, educating and discussing VAT compliance
Data Driven: Maintain and update our Client Relationship Management system (CRM) to enable extracts of data to help make future decisions
Network: Build a pipeline of prospects from attending events and networking online
Collaborate: Work closely and co-operatively with our Onboarding and Client Management teams to ensure a seamless service from start to finish

The above list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive. Other duties and responsibilities may be requested to be undertaken, commensurate with the level of this role. The employee will be expected to comply with any reasonable request.

What You’ll Need

· Proven experience in a Sales, Telesales or Business Development role

· Previous industry experience within a Business Development role

· Solid customer service focus and a strong ‘can do’ and problem-solving attitude

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Calmness under pressure, methodical and organised

· Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, and an excellent phone manner

· Strong team working ethic and ability to work collaboratively

· Proven ability to readily follow defined systems, procedures and protocols

· Genuine enthusiasm for e-commerce, finance and international trade

· Experience of working effectively in a home office and office-based environment

· Proficiency in Windows and other web-based tools
