Sewing and Design Room Assistant — Emma Harris Lingerie

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and the creation of beautifully made garments. You will be part of a supportive, detail‑driven studio where quality, care, and consistency guide every stage of production.

Salary will reflect experience. Applications welcomed from previous employees.

Key Responsibilities

Sew and assemble garments following technical instructions and established quality standards
Cut samples and small run production
Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet expectations for finish, fit, and craftsmanship
Operate industrial sewing machines safely, confidently, and with care
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace
Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines while upholding exceptional quality

Qualifications & Experience

Proven sewing experience with strong knowledge of stitching techniques and garment construction
Experience producing lingerie using lockstitch, overlock, cross stitch, bone casing and elastication.
Further experience in lingerie and loungewear construction is highly advantageous
An open‑minded approach to learning new skills and raising quality standards
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality work
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
Good manual dexterity and stamina for repetitive tasks
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced studio environment
