About the Role

You'll be joining Inside Out Group as an Engineering Assistant — working within a small, friendly team on a genuinely varied mix of work. Day to day that means helping with installations, responding to faults, and getting hands-on with cameras, door access systems, barriers and gates, and general IT.

This isn't a role where you'll be thrown in at the deep end. You'll have a dedicated 1-to-1 support scheme from the start, a van stocked with the tools you need, and a team around you who are happy to share what they know.

What You'll Be Doing

Assisting with installations and fault resolution across camera, access control, and IT systems
Working alongside experienced engineers on client sites
Building your confidence with tools and hands-on technical work over time
Progressing toward leading small installations independently as your skills develop

What We're Looking For

A good working knowledge of computers and a genuine interest in engineering and how things work
Someone who likes tinkering, problem-solving, and learning on the job
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and challenging access (ladders, tight spaces, outdoor sites)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
A positive, reliable attitude — this is a small team and the right personality matters as much as experience

No formal qualifications required, but you'll need to pass a basic health and safety test (such as the CSCS Health & Safety test) within your first 3–6 months as part of your probationary period. We'll support you through it.
