The company has built a scalable customer acquisition model driven primarily through SEO, paid advertising and inbound enquiries, creating a consistent pipeline of opportunities and a platform for significant future growth.
Following a successful period of expansion, the founder is seeking an exceptional Managing Director to lead the business through its next phase of development. With a clear opportunity to scale revenues to £5–10 million and beyond, this is a rare chance to take ownership of an established, profitable company and shape its future.
The founder will transition into a Non-Executive Chairman role, providing strategic support while empowering the Managing Director to take full responsibility for the leadership and performance of the business.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine Managing Director position with responsibility for the overall leadership, growth and profitability of the company.
You will inherit a strong business with an experienced team, established systems, a recognised brand and a highly effective digital lead generation engine already in place.
Your challenge will be to build upon these foundations, strengthen the organisation and execute a growth strategy that unlocks the company's full potential.
You will enjoy significant autonomy, direct access to the Chairman and the opportunity to create substantial value as the business enters its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall strategy, performance and growth of the business.
- Assume full P&L responsibility.
- Develop and execute a plan to scale the company towards £5–10 million revenue and beyond.
- Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and culture.
- Drive operational excellence across manufacturing, fulfilment and customer experience.
- Improve commercial performance through data-driven decision making.
- Work closely with marketing partners to maximise returns from SEO, paid advertising and inbound lead generation.
- Increase conversion rates, operational efficiency and profitability.
- Identify new opportunities for growth, partnerships, products and market expansion.
- Ensure robust financial management, forecasting and reporting.
- Report directly to the Chairman and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
About You
You are an ambitious and commercially astute leader who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.
You may currently be a Managing Director, General Manager, Operations Director, Commercial Director or Business Unit Leader seeking the opportunity to take full ownership of a growing business.
You will bring:
- Proven experience leading and growing an SME or business unit.
- Strong commercial, financial and operational capability.
- Experience delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth.
- A track record of building and leading successful teams.
- An understanding of performance-driven customer acquisition and modern business metrics.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- The ability to make decisions, drive accountability and deliver results.
- A growth mindset and genuine ambition to build something exceptional.
Manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential. Commercial leadership, operational excellence and the ability to scale a business are more important.

Within your first 24 months you will:
- Successfully transition leadership from the founder.
- Strengthen the management structure and operating systems.
- Deliver meaningful revenue and EBITDA growth.
- Improve operational scalability and efficiency.
- Build the foundations for a substantially larger business.
- Establish yourself as the trusted leader of the organisation while enabling the founder to move successfully into a Non-Executive Chairman role.
