Integrated Care Clinician (Paramedic)

The post holder will undertake telephone triage assessments of patients in an efficient way.

They will advise the most appropriate intervention to meet the needs of the patient using best clinical practice, adhering to Trust Policy, protocols and guidelines.

Will work in an autonomous capacity, assessing and advising callers within agreed guidelines.

Integrated Care is the service that gives the people of Wales access to Urgent out of hours care, 24-hour health information with sign posting and access to urgent dental services.

We at Integrated Care recognise that the ongoing pressures in many patient facing roles are leading Paramedics to feel undervalued and over worked This is an opportunity to deliver outstanding patient care without the physical strains of hands-on care, in a non-patient facing setting, which allows you to focus on prudent health for your patients.

Integrated Care is at the forefront of an improving urgent and emergency care offering for the people of Wales both online and over the phone.

At Integrated Care we employ a wide range of colleagues, from Call Handlers to Nurses, Paramedics, and data analysts, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside GPs, Pharmacists and Mental Health Practitioners.

This is a dynamic role in which you’ll draw upon your clinical assessment skills to help and advise a broad spectrum of patients, from minor ailments and injuries to complex and urgent conditions as well as to hone your skills in a remote clinical decision-making environment.

As a Band 6 Triage and Assessment Paramedic, you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions but be supported by our experienced team of senior clinicians, practice coaches and multi-disciplinary colleagues.

Our highly trained teams work closely with urgent care GP’s and pharmacists in looking after Wales Urgent care needs. Working for Integrated Care will mean you make a real difference to people’s lives and health as we engage with thousands of patients each week.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
