Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Prepper/Polisher to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Prepare metal or other materials by cleaning, grinding, and smoothing surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Polish components to achieve specified finishes, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist in the setup and adjustment of polishing equipment as required
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards
- Follow safety procedures at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets
Skills
- Knowledge is essential for understanding equipment operation and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as files, scrapers, and sanders
- Experience with power tools including grinders, polishers, and drills is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
