Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pre-school Manager to oversee daily operations within our early childhood education centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and maintaining high standards of childcare and education. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team committed to fostering young children's development and learning in a supportive setting.

Duties

Lead and supervise the pre-school team, including teachers and support staff, ensuring effective management and leadership.
Develop and implement educational programmes that promote early childhood development aligned with curriculum standards.
Oversee daily activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children aged 2-5 years.
Maintain compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and health & safety policies.
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding children's progress and centre activities.
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement.
Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting requirements.
Ensure the centre's facilities are well-maintained, clean, and suitable for early childhood education.

Requirements

Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
Experience working directly with children in a nursery or preschool environment.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are preferred.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending off-site meetings.
Passionate about working with children and committed to providing high-quality early years education.
Organised, proactive, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to make a positive impact on young children's lives while leading a passionate team within a supportive environment.

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
