At Coercive Systems Limited, we design and manufacture high-performance electro-mechanical systems for demanding environments including defence, subsea, aerospace, and industrial applications. Our products include precision brushless motors, thrusters, electro-optical systems, and specialist assemblies used worldwide.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Wireman to join our production team, focusing on the wiring and assembly of electric motors and associated electro-mechanical systems.
This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of electrical assembly processes. You will be working on high-specification products where quality and reliability are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring of electric motors, including stators and associated assemblies
- Termination of cables, connectors, and looms to engineering drawings and specifications
- Soldering, crimping, and routing of wires to high-quality standards
- Assembly of electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and build instructions
- Ensuring all work meets internal quality standards and customer requirements
- Supporting testing activities where required (continuity checks, insulation resistance, etc.)
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in wiring / electrical assembly (ideally within motors or similar products)
- Strong soldering and crimping skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
- High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Experience working with small, precision components
- Understanding of basic electrical testing (continuity, insulation checks)
Desirable Experience
- Experience with brushless DC motors or rotating equipment
- Knowledge of subsea, defence, or aerospace manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g. IPC/WHMA-A-620)
- Experience with high-reliability or harsh-environment products
