Full job description

Job Description

To collect outstanding monies across multiple ledgers.

Liaising with customers and company offices, through a combination of phone calls & emails to ensure the collection of monies due, and the allocation of monies received on the finance package.

Any ad hoc duties as required by the Credit Manager & other members of the executive team.

The company uses an in-house ledger system for which full training will be provided.

QUALITIES

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous credit control experience and be able to collect debtor payments. Working with customers, both internal & external, to ensure collection is as effective as possible.

You must have an excellent telephone manner to be able to liaise effectively with the aforementioned customers & colleagues.

The requirement to be able to chase debts by phone is key to this role.

You will be able to give accurate and timely answers to any queries both internally and externally, and manage the liaison between customers and related internal parties, to ensure that queries are resolved in a timely manner.

You will have the accountability of maintaining your own debtor ledgers. This includes, both the collection of monies and ensuring that the general maintenance of the account on our finance package is accurate and up-to-date.

Ideally from a team environment you will utilise your previous credit control experience.

Good excel, word skills and strong administration experience are advantageous for the role.

The ability to work without close supervision is imperative, and you must be both co-operative and flexible in your approach, with significant attention to detail.

Persons with limited credit control experience may be considered if they exhibit the other core skills.

Hours

9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive of a lunch hour.

Holidays

Leave entitlement is 25 days per annum, plus the usual statutory holidays.

Salary

£30,000-£35,000 DOE, with an annual review and potential for annual bonus in addition.

Pension

The company has a contributory scheme, which employees may enter after three months service.

Car Parking

There is a car park on site with allocated spaces for use during working week.
