Aspira Education are recruiting a Computer Science Teacher to work within a specialist secondary school supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of SEND needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning needs, SEMH, and physical or sensory needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator looking for a part-time position with the potential to become permanent.
Hours
2 days per week | 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the Role
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to secondary-age students.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve positive academic outcomes.
- Manage and direct the work of teaching assistants within lessons.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote online safety, responsible technology use and positive digital citizenship.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support student development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, training and school events.

What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- Qualified Teachers (QTS preferred but not essential).
- Unqualified Teachers with strong Computer Science knowledge and relevant classroom experience.
- ECTs looking to gain experience within a specialist setting.
- Teachers from mainstream or specialist education backgrounds.
You don't need previous SEND experience, but you must:

✔ Have strong classroom management skills
✔ Be patient, adaptable and resilient
✔ Have excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
All Applicants Must Have
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two recent professional references
- Willingness to complete safeguarding training with Aspira Education
- Ability to start ASAP
