Our Litigation Department deals with a broad range of civil litigation work and currently comprises ten fee earners together with support staff. The personal injury team is 3 strong, comprising a Partner, part time Chartered Legal Executive, and part qualified CILEX.
We currently have a vacancy for a personal injury lawyer, who could be qualified or unqualified. Some experience of clinical negligence cases would be a bonus, but is not essential
The successful candidate will have between 1 years and 5 years’ personal injury experience. We would be willing to consider those with a greater level of experience, provided they have a good track record in business development and/or a client following, such that they are able to help develop the practice, and increase referrals.
We will consider both full-time and part-time applications (minimum 24 hours per week spread over 4 days). The team is based at our Exeter office where you will need to spend at least 2 days per week. Hybrid working is available after the first month, provided you have successfully integrated into the team. You will need to travel out to other offices across East Devon and South Somerset sometimes to see clients.
Involvement in the firm’s marketing and business development plan, is an important part of the job, as is the ability to have and follow through ideas for actively developing new sources of personal injury work.
We offer a good benefits package, and the post will provide excellent career prospects for the successful candidate.
The firm has been rapidly expanding in recent years, with a merger in 2022, our new Tiverton office opening in January 2024, and several new partner promotions and lateral hires. There is a real “feel good factor” and staff say they really enjoy working here.
