PERMANENT : 32.25 Hours Average Per Week on a 4 Week Rota

SALARY: £13.26-£13.47 Per Hour (£22,298 - £22,652 Per Annum)

LOCATION: Active Tiverton

Active Tiverton is a dynamic and community-focused facility committed to delivering high-quality fitness experiences. Our Fitness Consultants play a vital role in supporting members to achieve their health and wellbeing goals, while ensuring a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment.

We want someone who doesn't just meet expectations but exceeds them; someone who takes initiative, brings fresh ideas, and is excited to make a real impact on our members and the wider Active Tiverton community. Whether that's supporting members on the gym floor, creating engaging content for social media, or continuing to develop their own skills and qualifications, we want people who are eager to grow both professionally and personally.

If you can inspire members, build strong relationships, and help us create an outstanding fitness experience, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Fitness Consultant your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Carry out fitness inductions, fitness assessments, and lifestyle consultations.
Design and deliver personalised fitness programmes to support member goals.
Track and record member visits and carry out follow-up procedures to encourage retention.
Supervise the fitness studio and support group exercise classes as required.
Welcome all members to the gym and actively engage with them during their visit, building positive relationships to support member retention and overall experience.
Ensure a safe, welcoming, and customer-focused environment at all times.
Support the promotion of Active Tiverton through positive engagement with social media content, events, campaigns and member success stories.
Build meaningful relationships with members, identifying opportunities to encourage regular attendance, improve retention, and support members in achieving their goals.
Contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance the member experience, increase engagement, and support the growth of the fitness service.
Actively pursue professional development opportunities and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, trends and best practice.

What We’re Looking For:

Hold a current Level 2, Level 3 and/or Level 4 fitness qualifications and/or an NVQ or equivalent in sports and fitness/physical recreation
Group exercise instruction qualification (or willingness to work towards).
You will need to be pro-active and outgoing to communicate with members by developing a professional relationship which will encourage them to come back and use our facilities'
Knowledge of a range of the basic fitness studio equipment
Excellent communication and customer care skills with a proactive and outgoing approach.
A passion for personal and professional development, with a desire to continually expand your knowledge, qualifications and experience within the fitness industry.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to use initiative to identify opportunities to improve the member experience.
Someone who is motivated to go above and beyond, bring new ideas to the team, and make a lasting impact on our fitness community.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
