Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our cleaning and laundry teams in delivering exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards across our facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive janitorial experience, and a passion for creating spotless, well-organized spaces that reflect our commitment to excellence. Duties

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality cleaning services across all areas of the facility
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and standards aligned with health and safety regulations
Monitor cleaning supplies inventory, place orders as needed, and manage budget allocations for supplies and equipment
Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness, safety compliance, and maintenance of equipment
Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
Collaborate with management to address any facility issues promptly and efficiently
Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, providing feedback, and encouraging professional development

Experience

Proven experience in care home housekeeping role with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Previous experience working in healthcare environments is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of COSHH, cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety standards in a professional setting
Familiarity with care home hygiene protocols and infection control practices is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to train staff on best practices while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
