We are looking for a highly professional full-time Restaurant & Events Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team at The Barnsdale, Rutland.We are seeking an energetic, hands-on Restaurant & Events Supervisor to help deliver the guest experience across our restaurant, bar, weddings, conferences and special events.

Perched on the edge of Rutland Water, our 46‑bedroom hotel comes with postcard‑worthy views, a gorgeous courtyard and a seriously talented kitchen team cooking up fine dining using the best local produce. Surrounded by peaceful countryside and just a stone’s throw from the charming market towns of Oakham and Uppingham, it’s the kind of place guests escape to – and the team genuinely enjoy working in. Fresh air, great food, lovely surroundings and a fab team? Yes please.

Plus we offer free parking, and annual Tronc of about £3000 per year for a full-timer, and pro rata for part-time (paid monthly in your normal pay!).
With new projects and investment coming to the hotel to develop into a resort- this is a great time to be joining this stunning property!

Reporting to the Head of Food and Beverage, the successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality, guest service excellence and team leadership, with the ability to balance operational management, event coordination and revenue generation. This is a hands-on role responsible, serving our guests to deliver great dining, wedding and event experiences across both the hotel and dedicated event Barn, ensuring every guest receives an outstanding experience.

This role would really suit a great hospitality Front of house team member with great passion and experience, looking for the next step on their journey!

You will have:

The ability to motivate yourself and be a role model for the others on the floor.
Experience in a good hotel or restaurant environment.
Natural hosting skills, and able to meet our service standards.
Approachable and passionate with an enthusiastic, positive manner.
Ability to help run shifts and coach and support your colleagues.
A passion for food, wine and hospitality, with an eye for detail.
Willingness and flexibility to work across days, evening and weekends
