We are seeking a motivated and organised Paediatric Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our Community Paediatric Service. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality administrative support across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board area, working closely with partner agencies.
You will support community paediatric secretaries in delivering a comprehensive and confidential administrative service, ensuring effective coordination of information and communication within the team. Your role will be key in helping patients and families experience a smooth and efficient service.
The post requires strong organisational and typing skills, with the ability to follow established systems, procedures and policies. You will ensure accurate documentation and timely communication at all times.
The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team while managing their own workload. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

- Routine typing/audio typing of clinical correspondence
- Supporting the administrative needs of the multi disciplinary Paediatric Team.
- Develop systems, support and organising clinical activity and appointments.
- Liaising with patients and families, General Practitioners other referrers and partners to provide assessment, diagnosis treatment and care.
- Follow appropriate systems, processes while adhering to Health Board policies and procedures at all times.
- Support the development and maintenance of IT systems and databases and provide up to date analysis of data from the system.

This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency ’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
