Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced and driven Jet-Vac Tanker Driver to join our expanding operations team. This is a hands-on role focused predominantly on Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), with additional responsibilities for reactive emergency callouts as part of an on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Jet-Vac combination tankers to carry out scheduled PPM, primarily focused on commercial drainage systems, interceptors, grease traps, gully cleaning, and sewer lines.
- Start early (03:00) to complete works during off-peak hours and reduce impact on client operations.
- Respond to reactive emergency callouts, including unblocking drains, spill response, and flood mitigation, as part of a shared on-call rota.
- Carry out high-pressure water jetting, vacuum extraction, and confined space entry operations where required.
- Complete vehicle safety inspections, maintenance logs, and ensure proper upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of job sheets, reports, and digital records using tablets or paperwork.
- Maintain excellent communication with dispatch, supervisors, and clients while working independently or as part of a two-person team.
- Uphold all company safety policies, industry best practices, and legislative requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK Driving Licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement.
- Driver CPC qualification and valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience with Jet-Vac or vacuum tanker operations, including jetting and drainage clearance. Treatment plant cleaning and sample collection along with Oil separator
- Strong awareness of safe working practices, including traffic management, confined spaces, and PPE usage.
- A high level of personal discipline, punctuality, and a strong work ethic — especially suited to early morning schedules.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and to be part of an emergency on-call rota (typically evenings and weekends on a rolling basis)
- Experience operator who can be self-sufficient when on site as well as a good team player.
Desirable (Not Essential):
- WJA (Water Jetting Association) Certification
- Confined Space Entry Certification (Medium/High Risk)
- CSCS Card for site access
- Experience with tablet-based job management systems
