Full job description

Job Description:

Would you like to be part of an award-winning team? The Doxford Group is a family run organisation with three unique venues that host weddings, staycations and both private and corporate events.

As the business has expanded, we are looking for a pro-active individual who possesses experience in a similar role and has a ‘can do’ attitude to enhance our Finance Department.

This is a great opportunity to join a progressive organisation that is growing, meaning there is scope for development for the right candidate.

The role has excellent opportunities for you to progress and gain exposure to all aspects of the business, whilst allowing you time to learn in line with any studies you may be undertaking.

Your duties will include:

· Invoice processing

· Cash and Bank reconciliations

· Accounts payable and receivable

· Adhering to weekly, monthly and quarterly finance checklist

· Ad hoc bookkeeping duties as and when required

· Assit with quarterly VAT returns

· Assist with preparation of cash flows

· Financial and General Office Administration

· Project work according to the needs of the business

You will have the following skills and experience:

Excellent communication skills
Strong Excel skills
AAT Level 2+ but QBE considered
Finance experience (> 2 years) is essential
Payroll knowledge an advantage
Motivated and hard working
Accuracy in all tasks
Ability to work unsupervised
Experience of Quickbooks is desirable but not essential

This is a great role for someone to continue their professional development with varied work in a supportive and friendly environment.

The successful candidate, will be proactive, well organised and used to working to deadlines. A prerequisite will be good verbal and written skills, with an attention to detail.

Experience in the hospitality sector would be an advantage though not essential.

This is a part time position, FTE salary of £27k but pro-rated for 24 hours per week (£16.2k p/a).

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
