Shift Patterns Available:
Continental shift pattern 4 days on, 4 days off (2 x 12-hour day shifts followed by 2 x 12-hour night shifts)
3 x 8-hour rotating shifts: 5:45am-2:00pm, 1:45pm - 10:00pm, 9:45pm-6:00am

The Role
Working as part of a small production team, you will play an important role in manufacturing high-quality mattress pocket spring components while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency. You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve production targets and maintain excellent manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Operate CNC automated machinery to manufacture mattress pocket spring sheets
- Set up and change product specifications using manual controls and touchscreen interfaces
- Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues
- Carry out basic machine adjustments where required
- Maintain consistent production output and quality standards
Production & Assembly
- Operate pneumatic clipping equipment to attach frames to pocket spring units
- Select the correct frames and components using product codes and specifications
- Operate roll-pack machinery to package finished products accurately
- Ensure products are manufactured and packaged to exact customer specifications
- Support continuous production flow and minimise downtime
Quality Assurance
- Carry out product testing and calibration procedures
- Complete quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Record production and quality data accurately
- Monitor product quality and report any defects promptly
- Follow quality standards and standard operating procedures at all times
Documentation & Production Records
- Record and interpret production data accurately
- Review technical documentation and work instructions
- Complete production paperwork and system records as required
- Follow manufacturing specifications and planning schedules
- Maintain accurate records to support quality and traceability
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
- Work safely at all times and promote a safe working environment
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production area
- Handle materials safely, including manual handling where required
- Report hazards, faults or safety concerns promptly
Teamwork
- Work effectively within a small shift team
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors
- Support team productivity and continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate flexibility across different production tasks
- Take part in ongoing training and skills development
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and takes pride in producing quality work. You'll ideally have:
- At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety principles and safe working practices
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail
- A good standard of written and spoken English
- Good organisational and housekeeping skills
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- The ability to follow procedures and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, proactive and can-do attitude
- Physical fitness suitable for manual handling and lifting duties
- A willingness to learn new skills and progress into multi-skilled roles with increased responsibility
