About Commercial Property Rotherham
Commercial Property Rotherham (CPR) is a firm of RICS-regulated Chartered Surveyors specialising in commercial property across Rotherham and South Yorkshire. We act for landlords and tenants across sales and lettings, property management, valuation, rent reviews and business rates.
The role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Property Administrator / Property Accounts Coordinator to support the administration and accounts of several commercial property portfolios. You will work closely with the Director and our AI-powered Xero property management system, and be a friendly point of contact for landlord clients and tenants. This is a part-time, permanent role based in our Rotherham office (S60), working 09:00 to 17:00 with some flexibility on days and hours (around 2 to 3 days per week).
Key responsibilities
- Property accounting administration across multiple portfolios using Xero and our property management platform
- Reconciling rental income and service charge accounts, and maintaining accurate records
- Processing and banking client money in line with RICS rules, and assisting with invoicing, arrears and supplier payments
- Utility administration on lettings (meter readings and account set-up or closure)
- Liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors by phone and email
- Handling incoming sales and lettings enquiries
- Keeping compliance records up to date (EPCs, AML, insurance certificates)
- General administration and reporting support to the Director
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Experience in commercial or residential property administration, management or accounts
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience reconciling rental and/or service charge income
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confident written and verbal communication
- Right to work in the UK and able to commute to our Rotherham (S60) office
Desirable:
- Experience in a Chartered Surveyors' or commercial property environment
- Familiarity with property management software
- Knowledge of landlord and tenant matters and RICS client-money handling
