Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Private Client Solicitor to join our reputable legal practice. The successful candidate will specialise in advising on a range of high quality private client matters, including HNW estates, trust administration, succession planning, and complex wills. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and nationally recognised team, where people are trusted, appreciated and given the tools to thrive, both professionally and personally.

Duties

Providing expert legal advice on estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and succession issues
Drafting and reviewing complex legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and trust deeds
Managing a caseload of private client matters efficiently and with attention to detail
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their individual needs and objectives
Keeping abreast of relevant legislation and industry developments affecting private client work
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to the development of the department’s expertise
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout all stages of case management

Experience

A minimum of 8 years’ experience practising as a Private Client Solicitor or equivalent role within a recognised law firm or legal practice
Proven track record in handling complex estate planning, trust arrangements, and probate matters
Demonstrable negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous agreements for clients
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for building rapport with clients and colleagues alike
A recognised legal qualification as a solicitor or equivalent professional accreditation in the UK

Salary: Competitive and flexible based on experience
25 days’ holiday + bank holidays (may increase depending on position)
