The Role
We are looking for an Assistant National Sales Training Manager to work alongside our current National Sales Training Manager.
This is a hands-on role involving travel across our 17 stores, mainly throughout Yorkshire, with occasional visits to other UK locations.
You’ll work closely with our Training Manager to coach and develop new and existing team members and help maintain our high standards of professional customer service and sales performance. The role involves working in stores both independently and alongside other team members, including holiday and occasional emergency cover when needed.
You’ll help motivate teams, improve product knowledge and sales skills, and support staff in achieving targets and goals across the business.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and deliver sales training programmes
- Monitor sales figures and reports
- Assess staff performance and identify areas for improvement
- Continually coach, motivate and develop sales teams
- Attend regular meetings with directors and senior management
- Report on customer trends and buying habits across different store locations
- Suggest promotions, in-store offers and merchandising improvements
- Help implement merchandising and store layout changes, monitoring their success
- Provide holiday or emergency store cover when required
Please note:
- The role involves regular travel and frequent time away from home
- Flexibility with working hours is essential
Experience & Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 3–5 years’ experience in retail sales and management
- Has a professional sales background, ideally within a multi-site retailer
- Is confident using EPOS systems and analysing sales reports
- Has experience training, coaching and interviewing staff
- Is organised, motivated and comfortable working independently
- Holds a full clean UK driving licence for at least 3 years
- Must have access to a vehicle due to regular travel between stores
Your first month will involve in-store training to Branch Manager level, giving you a full understanding of our front-line retail business. After successful completion of the initial training programme, the role will include paid expenses and use of a company vehicle

*The £250 welcome bonus is payable after successfully completing 12 months’ employment, subject to attendance and satisfactory performance. Additional terms and conditions apply.
The £12.71 hourly rate will apply until after the probationary period, when training has been completed and the performance criteria has been met. Pay will then increase to the Company’s highest hourly rate based on sales performance and pay will include the use of a company car.
