About Us

MGL Group is a well-established, family-run company founded in 1972, delivering a wide range of services across the construction industry. Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking a Quarry Labourer to join our team, at Tynedale Roadstone Limited, Longhoughton Quarry, Alnwick, NE66 3AE.

As a Quarry Labourer, you will support the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the site. This is a hands-on role where you will assist with general site duties while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general labouring duties across the quarry site
Assist plant operators and site supervisors as required
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness
Support with loading and movement of materials
Follow all company health and safety procedures
Assist with basic maintenance and operational tasks

What We’re Looking For

Previous labouring experience (quarry, construction, or similar preferred)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Good understanding of health & safety practices
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience working within a quarry or recycling environment
CPCS / NPORS or other plant-related qualifications
Full UK driving licence

Training and Development

Full training will be provided for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills and build a career within the quarrying industry.

About the Job

Hours of work typically involve Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, with Saturdays as required.

Good rates of pay, overtime, and benefits offered, with an immediate start available. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
